Blur Images in Photoshop :

Introduction : Photoshop is a great software developed by Adobe for the Purpose of Photo Editing, Logo making and other Professional Purposes. Photoshop is the world's best tool for editing Photos according to my study. When I conducted a survey among 25 people, 21 people suggested to use photoshop and others suggested different softwares.

Photoshop as a great blurring tool :

Follow these steps given below to blur the background of the Image in Photoshop. I am using Adobe Photoshop CS3. But, you can use Photoshop CS or Higher versions to do this.

1] Open Adobe Photoshop in your Computer.
Select the Image of which you wish to blur the background.
I am using the following Image to Blur.
Lets Start.

2] After adding the Image, In the Layers panel at the right side of your page, you will see a Background layer, Right Click on that layer and click on Duplicate Layer. This will Duplicate the layer and create the copy of that layer in the layer panel.

After clicking on duplicate layer, a dialog box will appear. Give any name to the layer and click on OK. You can Keep the Layer Name as Background Copy.

3] Now, Select Filter Menu, Go to Blur and then Lens Blur. You can see this clearly in the following Image.

4] In the Lens Blur Dialog Box, Increase the Radius as you can see in the image below. You can adjust the radius as according to Your choice.

After adjusting the radius, click on OK.

5] Now, Go To Layer Menu, Click on Layer Mask and click on Reveal All or Select the layer mask button down to the layers panel.

6] Please read this carefully and don't do any mistake.
Now, Press Ctrl + I on the keyboard to invert the mask or go to Image then Adjustments and then invert.
Now you will see the Image as if your Original Image.

7] The most important step. Select the brush tool from the tools and and select the White color. Repeating again SELECT THE WHITE COLOR AND BRUSH.
Now, Start Brushing the background and you will see the background will be blurred. Do all this closely.

9] Now, go to File, and click on save as. Save to file format JPEG, PNG or other format you like. You will see the final Image as Shown below.

After blurring, I've adjusted the brightness, contrast and other basic settings to make the Image Attractive.

Thus you can blur the background in Photoshop.
